Job hunting & finding something to hold onto
While I enjoy my role of being a funky little jester making the internet laugh, that isn’t going to pay the rent. I have thrown myself into the employment pool and, friends, I am drowning. No one wants a chronically ill office worker who can only work 20 hours a week unless sponsored for a work visa. Which, honestly? Valid. I guess.
But that means I’m left trying to leverage my skills into survival. This means a lot of crocheting and knitting and a lot of begging my friends to consider commissioning me for projects. Which I hate. But there we are.
This blog is not for me to bitch about the state of the world—we’re all suffering under that weight. Instead, I’m going to use it to promote projects that do take off, new things I’ve made, and basically anything that lets you know that I’m surviving. On that note, look at this beautiful beret I made! Fits a size 20” head (young adult to small adult) and available for £50 + shipping. Reach out via my contact form if you’re interested!
It did come out smaller than I anticipated, but that’s a lesson learned with this yarn. I’ll try again with either bigger hooks or just expand on the pattern for those of us with larger heads.
